Mypinkpal.com is a social network for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgendered (LGBTs) and friends from around the World. A clean, professional and informative site, where you can interact and socially network through various means such as video chat, instant messenger, emails, invite friends to play games and beat their score, share blogs and discover your friend's thoughts, talk about your personal experiences and issues in your personal diary, take part in competitions and win prizes, meet Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgendered from all over the World and build your own community of 'Pink Pals'.
As we developed Mypinkpal.com, so did the idea of targeting ethnic LGBT communities of Muslim, Jewish, Hispanic, Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Desi, and Asian 'Pink Pals' through Pink Diversity. We see a lot of awareness of issues which affect the LGBT community and their rights and how we have progressed. To some extent this is true, however, what we donot see is as much coverage of issues that affect ethnic LGBTs and the issues they face. For instance, what does it actually mean to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and Muslim? Many ethnic and religious communities are so close knit and predominantly homophobic that it is unheard of to discuss any such issues openly.
It certainly is not easy as having personally witnessed a close friend going through this, I saw that in actual fact it can be very isolating. The idea grew, and led me to build a Worldwide interactive platform for LGBTs and LGBT friendly people, from all religious and cultural backgrounds to network on a clean, sociable and informative basis. With all this in mind I put together Mypinkpal.com.
Mypinkpal.com has three clear operational objectives:
1) The creation of a clean, interactive, informative and friendly social network for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgendered (LGBTs), those questioning and their friends from all over the World.
2) A Stronger Pledge to LGBT Ethnic Diversity - Mypinkpal.com welcomes Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh LGBTs (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgendered), in fact, we welcome LGBTs from all ethnic and religious backgrounds.
3) The formation of an online community that will bring LGBTs from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds together into a common forum.
